{"id":6613,"date":"2026-09-06T11:27:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T09:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraktalwerk.de\/?p=6613"},"modified":"2026-09-06T12:07:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T10:07:09","slug":"review-fw-at-the-simone-weil-pavilion-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fraktalwerk.de\/en\/review-fw-at-the-simone-weil-pavilion-geneva","title":{"rendered":"Review \u2013 FW at the Simone Weil Pavilion\/Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It turned out to be multi-layered, interwoven and complex: Swiss artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomashirschhorn.com\">Thomas Hirschhorn<\/a> initiated the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pavillonsicli.ch\/fr\/evenement\/thomas-hirschhorn\">Simone Weil Pavilion<\/a>&#8221; project in Geneva (2026). He invited groups as well as individuals to participate. These participants, in turn, invited other individuals or groups to work and create on-site. Fraktalwerk was invited by the invited <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.hu-berlin.de\/simoneweil-denkkollektiv\/laporte\/\">Simone Weil Denkkollektiv\/Berlin<\/a> \u2013 and spent two weeks on location. The presence featured an <a href=\"https:\/\/fraktalwerk.de\/en\/what-does-it-mean-to-realise-the-red-thread\">interactive Fraktalwerk installation by Robert Krokowski<\/a>, an <a href=\"https:\/\/fraktalwerk.de\/en\/traces-of-de-creation-traces-de-la-decreation\">artist&#8217;s book<\/a> by Marlen Wager and Robert Krokowski, who themselves invited <a href=\"https:\/\/fraktalwerk.de\/en\/sonja-knoll-visiting-fraktalwerk\">Sonja Knoll<\/a> from Vienna, dance performances by Libertad Esmeralda Iocco, as well as photo and video documentation by Juan Cruz Paz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Embroidery as a Collective Ritual of Thought<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A central element was also an eleven-week embroidery project serving as a connecting ritual: Inspired by spiritual exercises, each participant embroidered a thought, a sentence or a fragment onto their own piece of fabric. This contemplative form of &#8220;realising&#8221; combined meditation with a shared communal presence.
