<\/a><\/p>\nFirst there were the lyrics and drawings that Ulrike Warmuth sent us. A surprise, because until then we knew her as a poet whose \u00abside views\u00bb and \u00abdetours\u00bb we have published from the first text with ever increasing enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
And now this: two children’s books. Short texts in English with enchanting drawings.<\/p>\n
We had the pleasure to discover an unknown side of her as an author of children’s books. Then the idea: What if we could bring the drawings to life? What if Princess Crowfeather would awake suddenly? From the first idea to the finished book it was a long way.<\/p>\n
Each page was looked at exactly: Which element should be animated? Once the selection was made, work started: drawing by drawing was created. For a single movement sometimes up to ten pieces. Then they had to be inserted in the correct order and time to the original drawing.<\/p>\n
But what would be a living drawing without noises? So soundtracks were made and insert. So far so good! But – what kind of sounds does a mole make? And: What does a bat sound like? We laughed a lot while working on these two books. It was great fun to make it.<\/p>\n
We hope it will be fun for children (and adults) to read, watch and listen to the two books of \u201ePrincess Crowfeather\u201c.<\/p>\n
