On September 17, 2024, Fraktalwerk invited the participants of the anniversary congress on pastoral theology “250 years in between” in Berlin to a special kind of in-between space. Christian Kern (Münster) and Tom Sojer (Erfurt) also contributed to the evening with words and sounds.
The evening was divided into three parts, linked by sound and movement tracks:
Voices and images
Canon of theses. (Text of Walter Benjamin’s IXth historical-philosophical thesis, read in several languages, in canon and superimposed form) in interplay with Klee’s painting ‘Angelus Novus’
Out of the Grey. Dream film by Marlen Wagner
Performances
Once. Marlen Wagner reads a text from Numepee träumt
Penultimate shirts. Performance by Robert Krokowski
Angelus suspensus. Dance performance by Libertad Esmeralda Iocco
Movement space
What is possible between us if we don’t step on each other’s toes – and how does that work? Fraktalwerk invited all participants to move with each other: maintain balance, change weight, take the lead, relinquish the lead, keep the beat …
Interludes
Apparizione e scomparsa dell’angelo. A musical exploration of a sign of the ‘writing of the angels’ in contact with the angel of history, Christian Kern
Angelus suspensus. Text/Reading/Moderation Tom Sojer
